AGRICULTURE SUPPORT PROGRAM

At ISO, we recognize that women play a vital role in agriculture and are often disproportionately affected by poverty and inequality in rural communities. That’s why we have implemented an agriculture support program specifically designed to empower and support women farmers in our area.

Our agriculture support program for women provides interested females with the necessary tools, training, and resources to improve their agricultural and farming practices and increase their yields. We work closely with local women farmers to understand their specific needs and tailor our support accordingly. Our program includes training on best farming practices, access to high-quality seeds and fertilizers, cattle/domestic animal sources and technical assistance to help female farmers increase their productivity and profitability.

In addition, our agriculture support program for women aims to promote gender equality in agriculture and empower women to take a more active role in decision-making processes. We believe that by supporting women farmers, we can help create a more just and equitable society where women have equal access to resources and opportunities.

Our agriculture support program for women is made possible by a team of committed field workers who work tirelessly to support women and promote gender equality in agriculture. We are proud to be part of the effort to improve the livelihoods of women in rural communities and promote sustainable development in our society.

PROJECT ON DAIRY&POULTRY FARMS

ISO took an initiative in 2018 for setting up Dairy farms in rural and slam areas surrounding old Dhaka. This was meant to create and develop entrepreneurship among the poor and marginal women group, enhance the production of dairy products, make available animal protein, diversify microfinance programs, and consolidate the means of poverty alleviation.

AGRIBUSINESS PROJECT

ISO initiated this program to provide support to the potential poor women who are ready be entrepreneur and trader of agro-products. We encourage the women who are ready to do business and can cultivate or collect the agro-products from the rural areas near the city and transport it to the city area to resell in local market with a good margin. The emphasis is concentrated on providing credit facilities, enhancing capacity, assisting to create market linkage, and offering technical support to the courageous women ready to do business.

Over the years, Agribusiness Program has been extending credit, imparting training on cultivated vegetables, livestock, fisheries, and high–value crops to the targeted market. Furthermore, they helped in marketing their products with special attention to the women entrepreneurs. Steps have been taken to support in organizing training and keep accounts and helping the target groups to display their products to the buyers and consumers creating an opportunity for selling products without the intervention of the middleman.
