WE ARE INDEPENDENT SOCIAL ORGANIZATION

Independent Social Organization (ISO) was established in 2016 with the aim of promoting the social and economic development of neglected women in and around Dhaka city, particularly in the old Dhaka area of Bangladesh. Our mission is to empower these women and help them become self-sufficient and independent.

We understand that women are often marginalized and face significant challenges, including limited access to education and financial resources. Therefore, we provide various programs and services to address these issues and support their needs. Our efforts include various training on skills development, and microfinance support to enable them to start their own businesses and become financially independent.

In addition to our work with women, we are also dedicated to providing education to underprivileged children who cannot afford to go to school. We believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering future generations to achieve their full potential.

At ISO, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their social or economic status. ISO is devoted to the socio-economic empowerment of disadvantaged women through their social and financial inclusion. Founded in 2016 as a local social organization in a very small scale, our mission is to exterminate poverty and stabilize social security for underprivileged women and children surrounding Dhaka city, especially in old Dhaka of Bangladesh.

Our programs and services are designed to address the unique needs of neglected women and underprivileged children. We offer job training and placement, microfinance and entrepreneurship, education and skills development, and access to healthcare and other essential services. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower women and children and help them become independent, self-sufficient members of society.

At ISO, we are driven by a commitment to social justice and a vision of a better society and world. Our team is made up of dedicated field workers who share our passion for positive change. Together, we work towards creating a more just and equitable society where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

ISO works to help women in developing their skills through measuring their potentiality and initially established a pilot microfinance program to provide small loans for income generation to women living in selected areas of old Dhaka and surrounding slums. We subsequently expanded our programs to educate under privileged children of the same areas. And from there on our journey started. ISO strongly believes in women’s potential to become decision-makers, leaders and ambassador of transformation in their communities.
